The reservation status lifecycle

TableGo uses statuses to track reservations through their lifecycle.

Status Flow

Reservations typically follow this flow: Pending → Confirmed → Seated → Completed. They can also be marked as Cancelled or No-Show at any point.

Status Definitions

Pending

Guest has booked but not yet confirmed. This applies when email confirmation is required. The guest must click the confirmation link in their email.

Confirmed

Booking is confirmed and on the books. Either the guest confirmed, or no confirmation was required. Await guest arrival.

Seated

Guest has arrived and been seated. Mark this when you seat the guest to track timing.

Completed

Guest has finished and left. This triggers the review request email if enabled.

Cancelled

Booking was cancelled by guest or staff. The table is released for other bookings.

No-Show

Guest didn't arrive. This is tracked in their profile for future reference.

TableGo can automatically move reservations to "Completed" after the estimated duration if you enable this in settings.
