Marking a reservation as No-Show

No-shows are frustrating, but tracking them helps you identify patterns and protect your business.

Marking a No-Show#

Navigate: Reservation Details → Status → No-Show

When a guest doesn't arrive (typically 15-30 minutes past booking time), open the reservation and change the status to No-Show. The guest's profile is automatically updated.

No-Show Tracking#

No-shows are recorded in the guest's profile:

  • Count of no-shows at your restaurant
  • Dates of incidents
  • Visible badge when they book again

Preventing No-Shows#

TableGo offers several tools to reduce no-shows:

  1. Deposits — Require payment upfront for high-risk slots
  2. Card guarantees — Save a guest's card for possible late-cancellation or no-show fees without charging upfront
  3. Confirmation Emails — Remind guests of their booking
  4. Guest History — See past behavior before confirming

Consider requiring deposits or card guarantees for high-demand times like Friday and Saturday evenings, or for larger groups.
