Pricing & costs
Restaurant reservation system pricing
Reservation software is priced in very different ways — monthly fees, per-cover fees, setup fees and paid add-ons. Here's how to compare the real cost, and exactly what TableGo charges.
- Free plan available
- Pro from £99/month
- Growth from £299/month
- No setup fees
- No per-cover fees
- No contracts
There's no single market price for restaurant reservation software because providers charge in different ways. Some charge a flat monthly subscription, some add a fee for every cover booked through their network, and some add setup or onboarding fees and charge extra for features like deposits, gift vouchers or events.
To compare like for like, work out your likely total annual cost — including per-cover fees at your real booking volume — not just the headline monthly price. TableGo keeps this simple: a free plan, a flat £99/month Pro plan, and never a fee per diner.
How reservation software is usually priced
Most providers use one or a mix of these models. Each affects your total cost differently.
- Monthly subscription: A fixed fee per month or per venue. Predictable, and the most transparent model to budget for.
- Per-cover fees: A charge for every diner booked, often only on marketplace or network bookings. Costs rise as you get busier.
- Setup or onboarding fees: A one-off fee to get started. TableGo doesn't charge these.
- Paid add-ons: Features such as deposits, gift vouchers or extra venues charged on top of the base plan.
- Payment processing fees: Card fees on deposits, vouchers and event tickets — usually charged by the payment provider (e.g. Stripe).
- Platform fees: A percentage some systems take on payments you collect. TableGo Pro and Growth take 0%.
What to check before you choose
- Is pricing published?: If you can't see prices without a sales call, it's harder to compare and may be negotiated per venue.
- Are there per-cover fees?: At high volume, per-cover pricing can become your largest software cost. Model it at your real numbers.
- What's included vs add-on?: Confirm whether deposits, vouchers, events and extra venues are included or charged separately.
- Is there a contract?: Check for minimum terms and notice periods. TableGo is month-to-month with no lock-in.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a restaurant reservation system cost in the UK?
It varies by provider and pricing model. Flat monthly subscriptions are common, and some platforms add per-cover fees on network bookings. TableGo costs nothing on the free Basic plan, £99/month on Pro, and £299/month on Growth, with no setup or per-cover fees.
Does TableGo charge per-cover or commission fees?
No. TableGo never charges a fee per diner or a commission on bookings. You pay a flat monthly price regardless of how many covers you take.
Are there setup or onboarding fees?
No. Sign-up is self-service with no setup fee on any plan. Pro also includes free migration support if you're moving from another system.
What does the platform fee apply to?
On the free Basic plan, a 3.5% TableGo platform fee applies to payments you collect for deposits, gift vouchers and event tickets. On Pro and Growth this platform fee is 0%. Stripe's standard card processing fees are separate and apply on all plans.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
No. Paid plans are billed monthly and you can cancel anytime. There are no long-term contracts or lock-ins.
Is TableGo cheaper than OpenTable or ResDiary?
It depends on your booking volume and the plan you compare. Because TableGo has no per-cover fees, busy venues paying per cover elsewhere often save by moving to a flat monthly plan. Always check each provider's latest pricing before deciding.
