Linking your venue to its Google Business Profile keeps your name and address in line with Google, and unlocks Google review requests and Reserve with Google.

Where to find it

SettingsBusiness InformationBasic InformationFind Your Business on Google
  1. 1

    Search for your business

Start typing your business name. Suggestions appear after three letters.

  2. 2

    Choose your listing

Your name, address, phone number and website fill in from Google.

You should see: Connected to Google, with a reminder to save.

  3. 3

    Click Save Changes

Only Owners and Managers can save.

You should see: Changes saved successfully. Your name and address are now locked to match Google.

Note

Can't find your venue? It may not be on Google Maps yet. Click Create a free Google Business Profile, then come back and search again once Google has published it.

Keep it in sync#

Your business name and address stay synced with Google, as Reserve with Google requires. If you change them on Google, click Sync Now, then Save Changes.

To link a different listing, click Disconnect, then search again and click Save Changes. Disconnect saves straight away, without asking you to confirm. Afterwards your name and address can be edited again.

Important

Before you save, the × next to a chosen listing clears the Business Name, address, phone and website fields. Use it only if you picked the wrong listing.

What it unlocks#

  • Google review requests — in Settings → Guest Management → Review Requests, choose Google reviews to send guests straight to your Google review page, or TableGo and Google to ask for a TableGo review with an extra Also review on Google button.
  • Reserve with Google — guests can book you from Google Search and Maps. The link is one of the requirements, and TableGo switches it on for you.

Without the link, the Google review options are greyed out. If you disconnect, review requests go back to TableGo reviews.

Important

If Google lists your place as something other than a restaurant or food venue, TableGo warns you. You can still save, but Reserve with Google may not work.
