Reserve with Google lets guests book a table straight from your Google Search and Maps listing. Their bookings arrive in TableGo like any other, using your live availability and settings.
Get set up#
TableGo switches Reserve with Google on for you. Before you ask, check that:
- Your venue is connected to its Google listing in Settings → Basic Information
- Your street, city and postcode are filled in
- Accept Online Reservations is on in Settings → Reservation Policies
Then email support@tablego.uk and ask us to switch it on.
How Google bookings look#
Google bookings are confirmed straight away. They have a Google icon (Reserve with Google on hover) in your lists, timeline and floor plan, and the reservation's details show Source: Google. You get the usual new-booking email and notification.
Changes and cancellations#
- Guests change or cancel through Google, which uses your Guest Edit/Cancellation Cutoff from Reservation Policies. A cutoff set on a Deposits & Fees rule isn't sent to Google.
- When a guest cancels on Google, you're emailed and the activity log shows Cancelled via Google.
- When you cancel a Google booking, Google tells the guest, so there's no cancellation email to send.
- A cancelled Google booking can't be restored. Add a new booking instead.
Deposits and card guarantees#
If a time needs a deposit or card guarantee, Google sends the guest to your TableGo booking page to pay or save their card. The booking stays Pending for the Online reservations deadline in Deposits & Fees (10 minutes by default) and is cancelled if they don't finish. Google shows a single fee, so where you charge separate late-cancellation and no-show fees, it shows the higher one.
Important
What guests see#
Your available times and party sizes, and your Booking Notes as your booking terms. Google emails the guest their confirmation.
Turn it off#
Owners and Managers can opt out at business.tablego.uk/opt-out, or email support@tablego.uk. It can take up to 24 hours to disappear from Google. Turning off Accept Online Reservations, or disconnecting from Google, also takes your times off Google. Existing Google bookings stay in TableGo.
