TableGo offers two ways to manage capacity: Covers Mode and Tables Mode.
Covers Mode (Simple)
Best for: Cafes, casual dining, bars
How it works:
- Set total capacity (e.g., 50 covers)
- TableGo tracks total guests per time slot
- No individual table assignment
- Guests book party size, you seat them where appropriate
Tables Mode (Advanced)
Best for: Fine dining, fixed layouts, reservation-heavy venues
How it works:
- Create individual tables with capacities
- Each booking assigned to specific tables
- Visual timeline shows table availability
- Supports joined tables for large parties
Switching Modes
Navigate: Settings → Basic Information → Reservation Method
Select "Covers" or "Tables" and save. Existing bookings remain unchanged.
Switching modes affects how new bookings are handled. Consider doing this during a quiet period.
Which Should I Choose?
Choose Covers if you want quick setup, flexible seating, and simpler management. Choose Tables if you need precise capacity control, visual floor planning, and better handling of large parties.
