If you signed in on a shared computer, lost a phone, or think someone else has used your account, you can sign out your other sessions from your profile.
Where to find it
Your three options#
- Log out (current device) — signs out this browser only and takes you to the login page.
- Log out other devices — signs out every other browser and device. You stay signed in here.
- Log out everywhere — signs out every session, including this one.
- 1
Open your account menu
Click your avatar in the top bar, or your name at the bottom of the sidebar on a computer, then choose Profile.
- 2
Open Security
Choose Security from the profile menu. On a phone the menu sits above the page.
- 3
Choose an option under Session Controls
Click Log out other devices to stay signed in here, or Log out everywhere to sign out here too.
You should see: The button reads Logging out... for a moment. Log out other devices keeps you on the page; the other two take you to the login page.
Note
What happens on the other devices#
Their sessions end straight away. The next time someone on another device opens a page or saves a change, they're taken to the login page. A tab left open may keep showing its screen for up to an hour, but it can't save anything.
Two-factor authentication stays on. Anyone signing back in still needs a code from the authenticator app.
If someone else may know your password#
- 1
Change your password
Security → Change Password.
- 2
Click Log out other devices
Every other session then has to sign in again with the new password.
- 3
Turn on two-factor authentication
If it isn't on already, click Enable 2FA on the same page.
